what you do have. health is more important. so i think heath is very important. people can do nothing if they are always in

poor health, let alone happiness. no matter we are rich or not, we can not ignore

the importance of health. today,many people cant be in good health,so,how to keep healthy is very

important. ill say something about food and health. more and more people are

realizing the importance of good health. but how to keep fit? in my opinion, a healthy diet is very important for your health. do you know what a healthy diet

is? firstly, you should have a balanced diet. you may not like eating

vegetables. you think they are not so delicious. but vegetables have a lot of nutrition.

they are very good for your health. secondly, you’d better eat regular meals. you

need to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. regular meals throughout the day

give you enough energy to carry out your daily activities. never skip breakfast. it

is the most important meal of the day. eat bigger meals earlier in the day. dont have

a big dinner. thirdly, most of you like eating snacks. they may affect your appetite.

besides, too many snacks make you fat. in a word, if you want to be healthy, you should keep a healthy diet. it is time

for us to do something now, i think. that is, we should eat the right kinds of food, and do not eat any of the unhealthy food! let us do it right away to keep health!

agricultural pesticide has resulted in the degradation of food quality. the excessive

pesticide bears enormous health hazard for people. furthermore, some food producers

inject hormones into domestic animals so as to make them grow more quickly and thus

they can turn in more profit. as a result, people’s health has been seriously disturbed.

though many other countries, even countries like the u.s. and japan, have also

experienced food safety crises in some periods of their development, maybe none of

them has witnessed food safety problems on such a large scale and during such a long

But is that true today?

The most common and typical foods eaten in Britain include the , , like the cornish pasty, and roasts dinners. All of them seem to be very delicisous. Then, why do people say it to be terrible?

First, let us see what the traditional British food is. Usually, it’s simple well cooked not spicy, not very colourful wholesome filling and in the winter comforting.

Traditionally, English food consisted of meat and two veg. That is to say a meal would be meat, either beef, pork or chicken and two vegetables. Britain is an island between the North sea and the Atlantic Ocean. No one in England lives more than 120km from the sea. For people living near the sea, fish and shellfish have always been popular foods.

Away from the sea, people first ate wild animals, but then hundreds of years ago they began keeping sheep, cows and chickens on farms. Farmers have grown fruit, vegetables and cereals(for bread making ) for centuries too.

During the Middle Ages(11th to 15th century),ships brought sugar, nuts and spices from far away. The spices were often used to hide the taste of the food which was going bad! When sailors went to foreign places they bought back more kinds of food.

In British, traditionally, for some people still, the meals are called: breakfast—between 7:00 and 9:00, dinner—between 12:00 and 1:30pm, tea—anywhere from 5:30 at night to 6:30 p.m.

The traditional English breakfast is called the “full English ” and sometimes referred to as “the full English fry-up”.Most people around the world seem to think a typical English breakfast consists of eggs, bacon, sausages, fried bread, mushrooms and baked beans all washed down with a cup of coffee. Now-a-days, however, a typical English breakfast is more likely to be a bowl of cereals, a slice of toast, orange juice and a cup of coffee.

So ,how about a typical British lunch? Many children at school and adults

at work will have a „packed lunch‟. This typically consists of a sandwich, a packet of crisps, a piece of fruit and a drink. By the way, the sandwich was invented in England.
