Growing up to Be Independent

Growing up is not always easy. When facing difficulties, courage and a spirit of independence can be more useful than crying for help. That‘s what Hong Zhanhui‘s story of growing from boy to man with family hardships tells us. Hong who was born in 1982 in a poor family in Xihua County, Henna Province is now a hero in people‘s mind. When he was only 11, his father became mentally ill and one day came back with an abandoned baby girl. A year later, Hong‘s mother and younger brother both left home because of poverty and pressure from his ill father. Their

There is a story telling of a religious master who is said to be capable of moving mountains. A man came to him asking for a demonstration. The master sat in front of a mountain for a moment, then went to the other said of it and declared the end of the demonstration. All the audiences were greatly puzzled and begged him for an explanation. He said, ―There has never been a way of moving mountains; what you can do is to go to the mountain if it doesn‘t come.‖
