competitive, but learning to be cooperative.”

4. Remind yourself of a great change that occurred at some point in your life, and what you’ve

got from such experience.

5. “Chinese Dream” is frequently mentioned these days. Collect the information you know

about it, and compare it with “American Dream”. The Eastern and Western cultures and their

benefits to the world might be discussed in the essay.

Which is more important in life, cooperating with others, or selecting competition? What’s the relationship between competition and cooperation? The answer may vary from person to person. many people maybe hold the idea that competition and cooperation are the enemy,and the combination is impossible,let alone to achieve ideal results. In my opinion, this view is wrong, I want to say that competition and cooperation will always be closely linked, they are complementary ,both of them represent two different kinds of interaction. We often emphasize competition,but I prefer cooperation to competition in daily life.

Modern society,as we all know,is not only a competitive society,but also a cooperative one.All of us can not live without competition as well as cooperation.Competition and cooperation are both necessary for the social existence and development,so we had better have a sense of competition,and have a sense of cooperation,it is also necessary for us to maintain an independent sense of individuality,self-reliance.At the same time,we should have the collective spirit and teamwork,create a harmonious environment for competition,in which we can play better individual wisdom and creativity.

Competition are always full of human development and social progress.On the one hand ,competition promotes all over the world,just as Darwin said long times ago,Natural selection,survival of the fittest.so we should face up to the challenges consciously,take an active part in the competition ,and promote the social progress.For the individual person,the competition affects his life profoundly,for the group,the competition makes the group stronger.Competition can stimulate our creative potential,which is very important in our life.On the other hand,competition,as we can see,has many problems,which easily leads to the deterioration of personal relationship,people would become more selfish ,and more narrowly,in addition,it makes many people feel tremendous pressure,confused,and even seriously psychological disorders.

There are competition in our social life,but more cooperation in our social life.Marx said that cooperation can improve the productivity of individuals, and it is "creating a productivity", also generate a magical effects about one plus one is greater than two. Cooperation plays a great role in our society,the development and progress of the human society can be impossible without cooperation.The power of a group,which the individual alone can not match,and it does not mean just s simple sum of the individual forces.Cooperation is the source of life strength,and no one can exist in isolation from the community,harmony is necessary between two persons,and people should learn to help each other.The power of one person is limited,but on the contrary ,the power of the group is unlimited,people are in need of help.If every one has good cooperations with others,we can have the courage to face the difficulties and have the force to overcome the difficulties, we can succeed in the end. Cooperative or competitive, is both important for us to live in the community. In most cases it is difficult to absolutely separate the two things, and sometimes the competition includes cooperation,cooperation also has competition.In a word,cooperation and cooperation are complementary,we should have to learn to compete,but what’more,we must learn to cooperate.

Every college and university requires their graduates to write graduation thesis. If a student’s thesis cannot be approved by his tutor, he cannot get his degree. Many people think it’s reasonable for the colleges and universities to do so, but others don’t agree.

As far as I am concerned, it’s very advisable for the colleges and universities to require their graduates to write graduation thesis. First, a student’s graduation thesis is a proof that shows this student has mastered his major knowledge and deserves his degree. If the tutor does not approve the thesis, it can only mean that the student who writes this thesis does not work hard and should not be given the degree. Second, graduation thesis may provide wonderful ideas and thus contribute to the progress in the society.

Therefore, I think it necessary for the colleges and universities to require their graduates to write graduation thesis.

These countries encourage their people to learn Chinese so that they can cooperate well with China in many aspects. In order to know more about China, They study Chinese and come to live in China. Some of them even decide to stay in China all their lives.

In my opinion, foreigners learning Chinese shows that our country is becoming stronger and stronger, more and more flourishing. We would be happy about that.

The Days We Should Keep in Mind

Many young people never forget their birthday. They held little parties and receive gifts to celebrate their birthday every year. When they are asked about their parents’ birthday, most of them cannot answer right.

There are several reasons which cause this phenomenon. On the one hand, parents focus very much on their children, but too little on themselves. Many parents celebrate their children’s birthday when their kids are still very young, maybe only 3 or 4 years old. But parents seldom celebrate their own birthday, and maybe they don’t mention it at all. That’s why young people cannot remember parents’ birthday. On the other hand, young people focus very much on themselves, but too little on themselves. Sometimes they just think that their parents are not interested in celebrating birthday.

Is young people’s birthday more important than their parents’? I don’t think so. The days we should keep in mind are not our own birthday, but our parents’.

In modern society, especially in entertainment industry, lots of widely-spread information is actually rumors. When facing rumors, many people are very annoyed and they defend themselves by explaining. They think it is necessary to clarify to the public so the rumors can be stopped. On the contrary, some are patient and they overcome rumors by keeping silent.

In my view, keeping silent is a smarter solution. First, even if you explain clearly, others will think you are just covering things up. If you cannot present any convincing evidence, people will believe more in the rumors. Second, when you keep silent, you are not admitting the rumors and you are in fact telling people that it is not related to you. As time goes on, facts will eventually scotch（扑灭） these rumors. Therefore, to dispel(消除) rumors, it is better to keep silent. Therefore, I believe that silence speaks louder than words.
