2004年深圳市中考英语书面表达题是要求根据图示内容、文字提示和要求，写一篇纸扇制作说明，介绍纸扇的制作过程，字数在60—80字内。

2005年的书面表达题是要求以一名导游的身份，写一篇用作口头通知的文稿，向从英国来深圳的旅游团的游客介绍两天的行程，并对所去参观的景点作一简单的介绍。通知的开头和结尾已给出，提供了Happy Valley，Splendid China等7个参考景点的英文名称，字数60—80。

2006年的书面表达题是要求以一个学生的名义，根据提示所列出的一个调查表（教师工作、作业负担、课外活动和学校膳食四个方面的满意程度、具体内容和改进学校工作的建议），给校报英语版的编辑写一封信。提供了suggestions，more rest，homework，sleep，afterclass activities，rich and colorful，food，dishes等参考词汇，字数为80—100。
