Do you know something about the Akuapem people? They live in eastern Ghana (加纳), where the sunshine hugs all the time. They are very friendly. Now let’s have a look at how the Akuapem people receive a visitor.

2012年临沂市初中学生学业水平考试英语试卷满分120分，共九道大题，95道小题。考试时间120分钟。试卷分为语言知识、听力、阅读和书面表达四部分。其中语言知识33分，主要考查学生的知识运用能力；听力25分和阅读47分，主要考查学生理解、获取信息的能力以及对信息判断、归纳、综合的能力；书面表达15分，主要考查学生运用所学语言知识与技能，以书面形式完成信息沟通、再现生活经历、描述周围事物、发表意见和观点的能力。试题难度比例（易：中：难）为6：3：1。

与2011年相比，2012年试卷在长度、难度等方面保持相对稳定。在局部细节上进行了大胆的尝试，使试题结构更加科学、合理，符合考生的认知水平。例如，在考点难度不变的前提下，替换语篇中部分生词，生词量控制在3%以内；将语篇中复杂冗长的句子修改得简短易懂，适当地降低了语言材料的难度。这些细节变化更有利于考查考生的语言运用能力，更好地发挥试卷检测的功能。另外，2012年试卷继续保持部分试题的开放性，以期对初中教学带来持续的积极的影响，为高中教学奠定更加扎实的基础。

3. 注重基础，强调运用，突出了试题的语境化。

语言基础知识仍然是2012年考查的重要内容。试卷测试了《英语课程标准（实验稿）》要求掌握的、并反映在现行教材中的主要基础知识，覆盖面广。

试卷在考查考生语言基础知识时，基本上避免了单纯考查语言知识，既使从单句层面考查词汇、短语、语法等知识时，也是通过设置一定的语境来考查考生运用知识的能力：

（1）在单项填空题中，通过日常生活中诸多常见语境，如使用了学习、动物、旅行、天气、太空、餐饮等情景，来考查考生对基础词汇、句型结构、语法知识的运用能力。

（2）在词汇题中，考查考生在语境中理解词汇、正确拼写和使用单词的能力。例如，在第六大题中，要求考生在把握所设语境的基础上完整感悟句子的意义，然后再写出正确形式的词汇。

（3）在动词填空题中，考查考生在体现时间概念的语境中正确使用时态、语态和非谓语动词的能力。例如，在试卷中的第八大题的B部分，引导考生通过对短文前后、上下的观察和理解，判断动词的正确使用，从而使呆板的语法知识在鲜活的生活情境中得到灵活运用。

4. 突出语篇，注重能力，考查了学生的综合语言运用能力。

2012年继续坚持试卷命题“以能力立意”的指导思想，除表现在试题语境化之外，还更多反映在坚持“突出语篇”这一命题原则上。语篇题（听故事判断正误、听对话完成句子、完形填空题、阅读选择题、短文填空题、阅读表达题和书面表达题）在全卷中所占分值比例是61%。

（1）阅读理解能力

试卷中，阅读理解题型的分值是47分，阅读内容是6篇短文和1段对话。根据《英语课程标准（实验稿）》提出的教学目标要求，着重检测了考生以下能力：能根据上下文和构词法推断、理

解生词的含义；能理解段落中各句子之间的逻辑关系；能找出文章中的主题，理解故事的情节，预测故事情节的发展和可能的结局；能读懂生词率不超过3％的常见体裁的阅读材料；能根据不同的阅读目的运用简单的阅读策略获取信息。据此，命题十分重视对学生阅读理解能力的考查，兼顾了阅读量、阅读理解难度、阅读速度和解题能力的考查。主要从四个方面测试学生的阅读理解能力：快速阅读能力和快速获取信息的能力，对词汇的理解能力，推理判断能力和概括主旨大意的能力。

（2）英语表达能力根据知识内容、技能实践和学习策略的需要创设丰富的情景，引导学生把所学知识灵活运用到较真实的语境中是这份试卷的一大特色，这使词汇、语法、短文填空等类型的测试题更具有积极、现实的意义。英语写作的难度要求适中，内容更加贴近学生的生活，对初中英语教学改革起了很好的导向作用。

（3）实践能力和创新能力试卷坚持语言实际运用的方向：在语境中考查词汇和语法知识的综合运用能力，试卷中没有单纯的语音、语法和单个词拼写的题目；测试的起点是句子，语篇的比重远大于句子；试卷通过设置答案不唯一的开放性试题，考查学生应用能力和创新能力。

5. 贴近生活，重视文化，提高了学生的跨文化交际意识和能力。试卷命制重视选材，体裁丰富，题材广泛，选材多元，贴近学生的生活实际，内容涵盖了家庭、校园、社会等生活的方方面面，有环境保护、生活启迪、人生哲理、学校生活、家庭生活、新闻报道、广告宣传、科普知识、体育活动、历史知识、人物介绍、国外文化、旅游记事、幽默故事等，体现了跨学科的渗透，引导学生关注生活、关注社会、关注身边发生的事。同时，文章可读性强，词语优美，情感丰富，开阔了学生的文化
