Dear Alcohol,
You‟ve been around forever, I can remember all the pain you‟ve caused me.
Do you remember the night you almost took my father‟s life? I do. He loves you. Sometimes I think he loves you more than he loves me. He‟s addicted to you, to the way you promise to rid him of his problems only to cause more of them. You just sat
back and laughed as his car went spinning through the street, crashing into two other cars. He wasn‟t the only one hurt by you that night.
Do you remember the night of my first high school party? You were there. My friends you again, drinking all of you that they could. I spent two hours that night helping my friends who had fallen completely. “I‟m so embarrassed,” they said as I held their hair back so that they could vomit. “I‟m sorry,” they said when I called taxies for them, walking them out and paying the driver in advance. “This won‟t happen again,” they said as they were sent to the hospital to have their stomachs pumped. Two 15-year-old girls slept in hospital beds that night thanks to you.
Do you remember the night when you took advantage of my 17-year-old neighbor who had to drive to pick up his sister from her dance lessons? Do you know how we all felt when he hit another car and killed the two people in the other car? He died the next morning too. His sister walked home from her dance lesson, and passed police cars and a crowd of people gathering on the sidewalk just two blocks away from the dance studio. She didn‟t realize her brother was in the midst of it all. She never saw him again. And it‟s all your fault.
I wish you‟d walk out of my life forever. I don‟t want anything to do with you. Look at all the pain you‟ve caused. Sure, you‟ve made people happy too from time to time. But the damage you‟ve caused in the lives of millions is inexcusable. Stop luring(引诱)in the people I love. Stop hurting me, please.
Sincerely,
Anonymous

范文1: It’s widely shared that the words and behaviors of parents exert an overwhelmingly dispensable influence on children’s develoment, I can’t agree more, for my mum’s words have left a deep impression on me. In my childhood, I was addicted to the chinese chess. My grandpa’s chessing skill was very outstanding but he never helped me win. So whenever my “general” was in a dilemma, I always burst into tears. However, my mum not only didn’t relieve me, but told me patiently that success was was always left for those who were willing to take pains. The words are so powerful that it constantly reminds me of perseverance whenever and wherever I am. As a saying goes,” failure is the mother of success.” I exceedly realize the significant impact my parents’ words have on me.{2017高三杨浦英语二模作文范文}.
范文2: It’s widely acknowledged that children naturally imitate what their parents do during the process of growth. Thanks to my mom’s kindness, I’ve learned
to treat the world friendly. In the deep winter, my mom and I went out to buy things. At the corner of the street, we discovered an old beggar. Lying on the cold cement ground, he looked so helpless. Every people passing were so indifferent that they all turned blind eyes to him. My mom removed her warm gloves and searched for a minutes. Finding several coins, she bended and carefully put them into the bowl in front of him. “On no account does anyone want to beg, throwing away his dignity, unless those who truly have no way to go”,She wore her golves again and said. Being kind to all, especially those trapped in miserable situations is what my mom taught
me. Everyone may catch troubles and everyone needs inspiration and encouragement.{2017高三杨浦英语二模作文范文}.
范文3: The parents’ actions and words can have great effects on their child. According to my experience, that is really true. When I was a 5-year-old child, one day, my father drove me to a park to see the beautiful scenery. When we arrived the parking zone, we found that it was full of different cars. We could hardly find a place to park our car. Then I found the sidewalk outside the parking zone was nearly empty and there was a Santana car without passengers in it on the sidewalk. So I asked my father to park the car on the sidewalk like the Santana car. My father refused to do so. He explained,” if we park the car on the sidewalk, I will the likely to pay for a traffic fine. Besides, parking the car on the sidewalk may bring convenience to us. But it makes the walkers unconvenient to walk. We must consider the effect to the other people, not only think for ourselves.” Then I know what was wrong with me. From this matter, I learnt to be considerate and know the importance of obey traffic laws. As you can see, the parents’ action and words may impact on their children a lot.

教室是我们学生学习活动的最主要场所,简单描述你现在的教室,并发挥想象力,描述你理想中的教室。
My classroom, with 33 desks and chairs and two blackboards, is on the fifth floor. Although the noise or the bad smell can be disturbing , it’s still a good place to study in.
However, the present classroom is far from my ideal home. First of all, my ideal one should be large to hold more desks or shelves, where books and papers can be stored. And I want it to hold an entertainment corner in which to have a rest for a cup of tea or coffee. Second, there are just three oldfans and I feel very hot in summer, so I want it to be equipped with an air conditioner. Finally I wish I hope it can be a home, where joys and sorrows can be shared.
This is my ideal classroom, a seemingly unrealistic but extraordinarily beautiful place.
My Ideal Classroom
I’m now studying in a bright classroom on the fifth floor, where I can have a bird’s eye view of the school. Although the loud noise after class or the bad smell in hot weather can sometimes be disturbing, it’s still a harmonious place to study in.
However, the present classroom is far from my ideal home. First of all, my ideal one should be large enough to hold more desks or shelves, where piles of books and papers can be stored. And I want there to be an entertainment corner in which to have a good rest for a
cup of tea or coffee after class. Second, I want it to be equipped with anenvironment friendly air conditioner instead of three old fans making much noise while working. And with the approach of hot summer weather, I cannot help sweating, which makes me feel embarrassed and anxious, causing my distraction from what the teachers are saying. So an energy-saving air conditioner is a must in my ideal classroom. Finally I wish I can feel at home and feel close to nature in it, surrounded by plants and flowers breathing out their sweet perfume. This is my ideal classroom, a seemingly unrealistic but extraordinarily beautiful wonderland.

One possible version:
Some senior middle school graduates have different opinions on how to choose their majors and universities.
About 35% of the students insist that the choice should be based on their own interest. They say interest is the way leading to success. They think it a miserable thing to be obliged to study what they have no interest in.
About 45% of the students, however, consider it is the need of the society that matters a lot, for, they say, it will help them find the job they like best. In addition, interest can be developed and changed.
Interestingly, there are about 20% of the students who find it so difficult to make a choice that they prefer to follow the advice offered by their parents or teachers. In my opinion, interest is the most important of all. Without interest you can’t study the subject very well and may have more difficult with your career.

Dear Frank:
Frank, you are ready to enter senior high school,so l will put forward some useful suggestions to you, which lets you have a general idea of high school life. I firmly hold the ground that studying in the senior high school is one of the most significant stages that everyone needs to go through in our life. The reason why l think it is a short but unforgettable and precious period is that not only are we able to acquire an overwhelming majority of knowledge from books and have a good command of many kinds of skills, but we also learn to be responsible for ourselves and be independent of dealing with a variety of frustrations and obstacles. Now l have been studying in the senior high school,l give top priority to study because as a student, what we need apply ourselves to do is study. And l think it inevitable to set clear schedule of your daily life and find a learning method suiting you, which makes us finish our tasks more efficient.Besides, l take active part in various activities such as sports meeting , culture festival and so on,because it is after-school activities that let us have a relaxation after a long period of study and widen our horizons. So as far as l am concerned, you will achieve a

spirit. I hope you will have a good time in high school.

Smart phones are generally regarded as an awful disturbance to those wishing to concentrate on their study. However, nowadays, more and more students are in possession of smart phones. Some of them find smart phones attractive owing to games, songs and videos, while others make full use of them for reading and learning.
Used properly, smart phones can be really beneficial to high school students. Take my deskmate as an example. She is an English lover who usually reads a great deal on her smartphone. After class, she keeps on reading news from an APP called VOA, and she will share the story with me from time to time. Besides, she practices her listening by using her materials online, too. After months of endeavor, she has become more skilled in English. Apparently, her smart phone has turned her best friend for learning, almost as important as other channels of learning.
Seeing that she has benefited a lot from utilizing her smart phone, I asked her for advice and she gladly shared her experience with me. Currently, I am in the process of getting information and using my smart phone to benefit my study as well.
From my perspective, smart phones can be a plus for learning, as long as we have a clear idea of their benefits and have a strong sense of discipline, which means we shouldn’t be tempted by other unimportant messages or games.

As is clearly illustrated in this chart, if you are willing to take part in the volunteering work as a high school student, first, you have to register on the internet. And then you will be required to fill in your individual information. After that, you have the freedom to choose the subjects and places of volunteering work you are fond of, so that you are allowed to put the activity into practice. Finally, don’t forget to upload your report and share your experiences with other volunteers or students.
From my perspective, there is no doubt that joining in voluntary work through online channels is a good idea for us high school students. Actually, we don’t have enough time and energy to arrange the activities on our own, and this approach precisely solves this critical problem, which saves us a lot of trouble and tiredness. In addition, if the enrollment for voluntary work can be as easy as playing games on the internet, a large number of students will be attracted to attend this meaningful and unforgettable work.
However, can we help others in our daily life simply through online access? The answer is obviously no! In my opinion, the burden of academic performance can’t be an excuse for not getting involved in this instructive activity. We can also help others around us without the help of online distribution system. We should commit ourselves to some approachable activities, can’t we?

In an attempt to serve as a volunteer, the first priority students are bound to take is to sign up on the website and fill in the form in detail which is intended to collect your personal information. Then, pick up a project and a spot appealing to you the most. What you need to do next is to carry out the volunteering activity, followed by a requirement to upload your working report as well as sharing your experiences.
As for me, I am totally in favor of this innovative way. Obviously, the website centers on providing students with a platform where they find it convenient to participate in a voluntary activity. Adding to the benefit is the fact that the website do offer a variety of activities, thus, it can be expected that more students will be motivated to commit themselves to volunteering work after long being fed up with the boring “pick up litter” thing.
Moreover, there is no more comfort for parents than knowing their children are taking part in well-organized and carefully-selected activities with no regard to safety.
Hopefully, more and more students can contribute themselves to our society by using the website and make joint efforts to beautify our lives.
